COMPLEX SOCIALS
Role: Weeknight Social Editor
As a Weeknight Social Editor at Complex, I manage publishing across the Complex Main social platforms, helping drive a fast-paced, real-time presence for the brand. I handle high-volume posting across Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok, publishing 8–12+ posts per shift that contribute to 4M–9M+ weekly engagement.
I specialize in breaking news and real-time culture moments, often getting content up within minutes of major updates to maximize reach, conversation, and visibility. My work focuses on creating social-first, Gen Z-driven content that feels native to each platform while staying true to Complex’s voice.
Beyond publishing, I design original and reactive graphics in Adobe Photoshop, collaborate closely with editorial, design, and video teams, and pitch viral story ideas that turn into high-performing posts reaching 500K–1M+ views. I also help shape how stories are framed on social—making sure they hit, feel relevant, and actually get people talking.
